OSCAR is the pioneering Sickle Cell Organisation in the United Kingdom. This voluntary organisation was founded in 1975 by a sickler who, through personal experience, realised that there was inadequate information available to people who suffered from Sickle Cell. He also realised that their families / carers, as well as the general public, were lacking in information and support.
