Beginagen is a Methodist Community Project based in two shops on Cape Hill. We seek to serve the needs of local people in a way that embodies Christian faith.
Beginagen, a charitable project, began in 1985 to meet the particular needs of the community.
Presently, we do that through a charity shop providing clothing, books and household items, a drop-in facility for excluded youths and the unemployed, an after school junior youth club and a senior youth club. Our activities target those most disadvantaged in the community. This includes refugees, asylum seekers, unemployed and single parents, and families on low incomes.
We are also looking for volunteers to work at our project and can now receive toner cartridges, mobile phones and computer cartridges for recycling.
