energywatch is the independent body that looks after the interests of all gas and electricity consumers. We offer independent, free help and advice on gas and electricity matters and also a complaint handling service if you have already complained to your gas and electricity supplier or network operator (who owns the pipes/wires) and they have not resolved the problem.
energywatchs official title is the Gas and Electricity Consumer Council and it was set up by the government in November 2000. energywatch was formed from the Gas Consumers Council and the consumer offices of Ofgem. It is energywatch"s job to represent the interests of all gas and electricity consumers. energywatch is independent of all gas and electricity companies and the regulator - the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem).
energywatch Central is the office that will deal with gas and electricity complaints and enquiries in Sandwell. We are based in Birmingham City Centre on the corner of Great Charles Street and Paradise Circus. We receive complaints and enquiries by letter, telephone, fax, e-mail and face to face visit.
If your first language is not English energywatch Central has several staff members who are able to speak languages other than English - if you call us and ask to speak to a Consumer Advisor in any language other than English we will do our best to speak to you in your preferred language.
