If so, why not come along to our friendly and informative meetings? Everyone is welcome! Your presence is the Group's strength. Cost of MembershipMembership is free as are the meetings. Drinks and biscuits are available. Where and WhenWe meet on alternate months at 7.30pm at the Medical Education Centre in Sandwell General Hospital. The Centre is conveniently situated just inside the main entrance off Hallam Street, and there is a lift to the first floor where our meetings are held. There are frequent buses along Hallam Street which stop near the centre. The car park is opposite the main entrance. ActivitiesWe have speakers on both diabetes-related topics and other areas of general interest. The most valuable part of the evenings, which lasts about two hours, is the time spent getting to know other people who may have similar problems. Visits, information days and fundraising events may be held from time to time.
Money raised by the group is donated to help diabetic patients in Sandwell by providing extra equipment for the diabetic clinics in the area.
Collection daysThese will be held in local stores as usual. Thanks to all who helped and the very generous public. Please volunteer this year! Our ShopDon't forget to support our shop upstairs in the out-patients at Sandwell General Hospital every Friday 12:30pm until 3:45pm.
