This is care advisory service for anyone affected by Huntington’s Disease, whether they are a sufferer, relative, carer, friend, family member, or professional.

Service Provided

The role of the Huntington's Disease Regional Care Adviser is to:

  • Provide a listening ear.
  • Help families receive support, care and advice that they want and need to enable them to cope.
  • Explore grants and funding for care and treatment.
  • Access information on benefits, specialist equipment, respite, holidays, etc.
  • Increase knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in co-ordinating care through contact with health and social care professionals and non-statutory services such as the Citizens Advice Bureau.
  • If you would like more information on the support and services available for families affected by Huntington’s Disease and how to access them, or if you wish to talk things through with someone who understands and may be able to help, call your Huntington’s Disease Association Regional Care Adviser.
