What is Backfill?

Backfill works like a 'supply agency' - a supply of support workers who can perform general office tasks.  These staff will be available to fill the gaps left in your organisation when someone leaves to go on a training course.

Who can use Backfill?

Backfill is a flexible service that is free to those voluntary or community organisations who are sending members of staff on training courses. BackFill went live from January 2003 and is available now to all organisations that want to improve the skills of their workforce and benefit from the service.
