Page 1 of 9 Cares Sandwell: Carer Support Project
Carers are people who look after a relative, friend or neighbour of any age, with an illness or disability
Our Carer Support Project aims to support Carers and their sick, elderly or disabled dependents. It provides support groups and clubs at which members are given both social and emotional support.
The groups organised by the Support Project offer a wide range of activities to help Carers and their dependents with their caring responsibilities. They are located in Blackheath, West Bromwich, Tipton and Smethwick, for easy access.
By tackling the feelings of loneliness and isolation caused by the stress of full-time caring, the groups aim to increase social contact for carers, help with the exchange of information and provide respite.
