Supporting Carers in Tipton

Support 4 Carers is a support group for people with caring responsibilities who live, or care for someone in Tipton. Every month the group meets up with dedicated support worker, and 2008 Adult and Community Services’ Shining Stars runner-up, Olwyn Treagust.

The group was set up for people in caring roles to make new friends and take a “bit of time out” to be themselves. Olwyn organizes outings during the year, signposts carers to other services and acts as a link to advisory services, such as Welfare rights.

Meetings are held at Glebefields Resource Centre, Strathmore Road, Tipton on the first Wednesday and last Thursday in the month 1.30 p.m. - 3.30 pm.
