Plus other advice that may be relevant in relation to housing.

Appointments can be booked by phoning on 0121 236 6668, if there is an answer machine, please leave your name, contact number and say you wish to make an appointment with an adviser for the out reach surgery. An adviser will call you back and give you an appointment time.

Shelters outreach service is primarily funded through a contract with the Legal Services Commission. Caseworkers will ask to see proof of your income, and the clients financial details will be checked at the interview. If you are working it does not mean we will not help you.

At the interview please:

  • Turn up on time if you cannot make it then ring and let us know in advance so that the appointment could be offered to someone else.
  • Bring any correspondence relating to your case eg court papers, notices etc.
  • Bring proof of your income ie if you are on Job Seekers Allowance then a letter to confirm this or your bank statement to show that you are receiving this benefit.
  • We will ask you to sign a form giving us permission to act on your behalf.

For further enquiries about the service please contact us on 0121 236 6668.
