Almost one in ten borough households now has a composting bin after Sandwell Council launched an environmentally and pocket-friendly initiative.
If you are a Sandwell resident just use the link below to get a 220-litre composter for less than a tenner.
The bargain bins, are available through a campaign run by the Council in partnership with the Recycle Now Compost at Home campaign run by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme).
Not only do the bins enable the composting of up to 30 per cent of the average household's waste, reducing the amount of rubbish going into landfill, but the resulting compost can also help grow healthy plants.
