With the help of "free books for the community" project, Nigel Self community worker for the ACT team has been able to redirect books given for community use, to the new library located inside Swallow fields, extra care village, based In Tipton.

The housing scheme is managed by Accord housing and offers residents independent living but with support if required.

Nigel explained, "During a recent tour of the facility, we were told by the care staff there that they were looking for books for the residents who have found the new library very popular, and as it needs a high turn over of shelf stock, and, as I knew where there were some free books, I was able to sort them out with some!
