Residents are urged to dial the anti-social behaviour helpline on 0845 359 7500 to report illegal dumping.
The campaign has been highlighted by a recent bus poster campaign and a TV advertisement running on the big screen at The Hawthorns.
Environmental protection officers are committed to catching fly-tippers at all costs, but need the help of public-spirited people living and working in the area.
If members of the public spot anyone dumping refuse in their area they are advised to note down the date and time of the offence, the location, the vehicle type and registration number, a brief description of the person dumping the waste and what was being dumped.
For their own safety members of the public are advised not to approach fly-tippers themselves.
Cllr Mahboob Hussain, Sandwell Council's cabinet member for neighbourhoods and housing, said: "Fly-tipping is an unsightly nuisance which can lead to rodent infestations, smell problems and inconvenience to others.
"Often innocent land owners, including the council, are left to pick up the bill for the correct disposal of other people’s tipped waste."
Along with the anti-social behaviour number, residents can report incidents to Sandwell Council's environmental health department in person at Environment House in Lombard Street, West Bromwich.
The public can also telephone on 0121 569 6600, fax on 0121 569 6599 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it All reports will be treated in the strictest confidence.
