Sandwell parks and countryside staff are celebrating after scooping four national awards.
The borough has been awarded four Green Flags this year for the high quality of some of the borough's green spaces. The prestigious Green Flag is awarded to parks that are welcoming, safe and well-maintained with strong community involvement.
Haden Hill Park in Cradley Heath, has retained its Green Flag. The park was one of the first in the West Midlands and the first in Sandwell to get the accolade when it won it in 2005.
It has now been awarded a Green Flag again this year.
Tipton's Victoria Park, which was first given a Green Flag in 2007 has been awarded it again this year.
Sandwell Valley in West Bromwich has been given a Green Flag for the first time this year.
And Warley Woods, which is run by a community trust, has also been granted Green Flag status.
Cabinet member for culture and leisure Cllr Linda Horton said: "This is a marvellous achievement for the borough and I am delighted for the staff who have clearly put in such a lot of hard work to achieve these awards.
"We want to make all of our parks and green spaces welcoming places for all of the family but above all safe for everyone."
