Ideal for All's Growing Opportunities Service is putting on two new courses for those looking to learn more about allotment gardening, food growing and making the best of garden produce.
A new five week long evening course for budding allotment gardeners is starting on Monday 14th September, and will run from 6-8pm each week.
Based at the award winning and fully accessible Salop Drive Market Garden, Oldbury, B68 9AG and run by experienced gardener Richard Billingsley. During the course you will find out everything you need to know about how to successfully grow your own delicious fresh vegetables. From crop rotation, composting, to controlling pests and planning your produce our fun, friendly, hands on informative sessions will help you to succeed.
Malthouse Garden, 100 Oldbury Road, Smethwick, B66 1JE will be hosting two short courses in 'Making pickles and chutneys' using the best of autumn produce to make delicious relishes for any meal. With support from Sandwell PCT Eatwell Team, the workshops take place on Thursday 10th September from 10-12 pm and Thursday 15th October from 10-12pm.
