Make a startA resource folder of healthy eating activities and games, for adults with learning disabilities.

Compiled by a registered dietitian to assist support workers in running healthy eating sessions for adults with learning disabilities. It is also a useful resource for health professionals running slimming groups and healthy eating programmes. If you are running such groups this is the resource for you.

We need to promote better lives by dealing with people’s health inequalities.  People with learning disabilities need access to information about healthy eating that is relevant to them about:

  • Healthy eating
  • Weight management
  • How to cook
  • Planning healthy meals

Healthy EatingThis 80-page resource and CD ROM contains over 40 activity and games ideas as well as a section of other material available to purchase. Activity and work sheets can be photocopied or printed from the CD ROM.

There are 15 sections with activity ideas in each. Sections include:

  • Balance of good health
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Packed lunches
  • Milk and dairy foods
  • Importance of breakfast
  • Eating out

This vital resource costs just £80 including postage and packaging.
