Sandwell PCTA new health centre in West Bromwich has unveiled a wide range of activities to support parents and carers in the Yew Tree and Tame Bridge areas.

 

Yew Tree Healthy Living Centre, in Redwood Road, hosts a baby clinic on Wednesdays from 10 – 11.30am, and a toddler group on Thursdays from 10 – 11.30am., and parents can drop in for advice on smoking cessation, housing, police, drugs and alcohol, and help from Job Link and Step Forward to get into employment, from 9am – 4pm Monday – Thursday and 9am – 3pm on Friday.

 

Ann Poynton, Community Development Worker at Yew Tree Healthy Living Centre, said: “Yew Tree Healthy Living Centre is far more than a medical centre, it is a real focus for the community. We offer a wealth of support and advice for parents in the surrounding area, from health and childcare to wider issues such as safety, employment and community matters.”
