CRUSE Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Bereavement Service | Print |

Losing a partner in the same gender relationship is every bit as devastating as losing a husband or wife, you may experience all the same feelings as the surviving partner of a marriage or other heterosexual partnership.  Losing a friend or member of your family is also devastating, but can you count on the same support if you are Lesbian or Gay?

The Gay and Lesbian Bereavement Service in the West Midlands face to face counselling service provides the opportunity to share experiences, find support, acceptance and understanding. We offer individual counselling sessions with trained counsellors where you can safely explore your feelings and concerns about the death of someone close to you.
