Sandwell Irish Society is a registered charity set up to identify and respond to the needs and aspirations of people of Irish birth and descent in Sandwell.  It works in partnership with a range of statutory agencies and many other community groups.

The organisation provides a culturally sensitive service offering information, guidance and support on a range of topics including health and wellbeing, benefits, housing, employment, Irish passports and birth certificates etc.

It organises and runs a variety of social, educational and cultural activities and projects for young people, elders and Irish Travellers, including dancing, music and Gaelic sports classes for all age groups.  Each year, the Society also organises Sandwell's St. Patrick's Day Celebration, the Rose of Tralee Selection and the GAA Primary Schools Gaelic football initiative.
