Who are we?
We are a voluntary registered charity community group, the oldest community group in Tipton being formed in May 1964. We endeavour to bring organisations and people in the Tipton area together, regardless of outlook, party or sect, to think and act together for the common good of our community. We aim to ensure that opportunities are available in the neighbourhood for people of all ages to develop their personalities and creative interests in a community which they can serve and which serves them. Who do we work with?
We work with many community groups within the town, both voluntary and statutory, Sandwell Council and the local police. More particularly we exist-- To foster the spirit of the community
- To provide opportunities for creative use of the leisure in response to local needs.
- To endeavour to fill the gaps in Community Service ans strengthen the work of local organisations and to provide opportunities for individuals to undertake voluntary community service.
- To provide a corporate voice for the community it serves.
- To provide a basis of training for democracy and citizenship.
- To organise and assist in community events within Tipton for the purpose of creating a happy, friendly and entertaining atmosphere in our town.
