Sandwell Mobility Service consists of Sandwell's award winning Shop Mobility service which operates out of level one of the multi-storey car park, West Bromwich; Leisure Mobility Services which are based at Queens Court, West Bromwich; and a partnership with Sandwell Primary Care Trusts which offers the loan of wheelchairs for social and recreational purposes, complementing the existing Sandwell Healthcare Trust Wheelchair Service.

Wheelchair Loan Service

This service is to complement the existing wheelchair service provided by Sandwell Healthcare Trust. The service will run on a first come first served basis for those who may require the use of a wheelchair for any activities out of the house such as:

• Visiting friends and relatives
• Holidays
• Respite Care
• Recreational purposes

Sandwell Shop Mobility

This service provides mobility aids (manual and electrically powered wheelchairs and scooters) to help people who have limited mobility to shop and use the facilities in the West Bromwich shopping complex.

Operating times

Please note that we close for lunch between 1pm and 1.40pm every day.

Monday - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Tuesday - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Wednesday - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Thursday - 8.30am to 5.00pm

Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm

Saturday - 8.30am to 3.30pm

Friends of Sandwell Shop Mobility

A voluntary organisation based within Shop Mobiltiy, which offers a short term wheelchair service to complement the long term one currently in existence at Shop Mobility. Fund-raising is a major part of the group, and in addition to this trips and excursions are arranged. New members positively welcomed.
