to create an environment in which all the people in the Borough of Dudley and surrounding areas support equality and diversity, understand and appreciate the differences between individuals and communities.

Our mission

to influence change and make a positive contribution to improving community cohesion and social equality in the Borough of Dudley and surrounding areas, through community integration activities, information, support and advice and improved policy and practice in the business, education, voluntary and statutory sectors.
 
 
As an organisation based in the heart of the Borough of Dudley we are dedicated to: 

• promoting the interest of all Black and Minority communities. 
• building effective partnerships.
• creating an environment in which all people in the Borough support equality and diversity, understand and appreciate the differences between individuals and communities.
• raising the profile of all six equality strands (race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age discrimination, religion and belief).
• providing a professional and effective service in all that we do.

One of our current projects is the RIES Mentoring Project (RIES = Refugee Integration and Employment Service).  The Centre for Equality and Diversity  work in partnership with the UK Borders Agency and the Refugee Council in providing a Mentoring Service working with volunteer mentors who give mentoring support to refugees who have recently received Leave to Remain status in the UK.
