Work with the people who will use your information to find out their needs and test your information. 

 

People with learning disabilities need information that: 

 

Easy words and picturesIs easy to use and handle;

Is printed boldly and clearly;

Uses easy words;

Uses words and layout consistently;

Uses short sentences and paragraphs;

Does not use jargon, abbreviations, special characters etc.; 

Looks interesting;

Uses pictures and photographs to get the message across.
