Home-Start Family Support Centre is a voluntary organisation that is commited to to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age.

Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

Parents can telephone or call in to ask for help or information. Families needing help are often referred by Health Visitors, Doctors or Social Workers. This is always with the consent of the families.

Parents can freely discuss their worries and problems with Home-Start, knowing that, with the exception of child protection issues, it is a confidential service.
