Abused Peoples Help in Sexual TraumaWhat is a self-help group?Self -help groups are meetings where people who have similar experiences can get together in a safe, supportive, non-judgemental environment and meet others who have "been there". It's an opportunity to talk through your experiences and know that you are not alone.
Who is the group for?The group is for men and women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse or who have attended group therapy or individual therapy at the Corner House, The Croft, Gemeni House or Brooklands Day Support. Or you can be referred to us through recognised support services such as Victim Support or your local GP.
When do we meet?We meet every day 10 am to 1pm with mixed members, except on Friday it's a women only session from 10 am to 1pm.
Ground rulesIn order to make sure that the group is a safe, supportive and non judgemental environment the group has the following ground rules:
