Pension Credit guarantees everyone aged 60 or over a certain level of income per week. In calculating your entitlement the Pensions Service (Part of the Department of Work and Pensions) will take into account the income that you already have, and the level of your savings. Some income is not included in this calculation neither are any savings you have under £6000.
