Joining In...

As young people develop through their formative years, they face many challenges which they have to find ways of dealing with. We can all think back to times past and recognise some of these situations.

Most people do develop ways of managing with these new life situations. However, some people are uncertain and need a helping hand to find ways of coping.

All members of our community need extra guidance and support in times of uncertainty, and the encouragement a volunteer provides can be an important influence on the wellbeing and peace of mind of both younger and older people.

Our volunteers and mentors recognise this. They derive a great sense of achievement and personal satisfaction from the experience of being needed and valued once again by their community.

Can you spare some time to become involved?

Remember, a small investment by you can benefit a young person and our community for a lifetime.

As a volunteer you will:

  • Be actively involved in a wide range of tried and tested volunteer opportunities in local schools and the community.
  • Have an opportunity to use your skills that are so urgently needed.
  • Receive support from experienced Sandwell Education Business Partnership staff whilst involved in the programme.
  • Have a regular commitment dependent on the time you can afford to give.
  • Be able to use the experience you have developed over your lifetime to help people of all ages.
  • Become a positive role model for those who need life skills.
  • Meet and discuss with other volunteers doing similar work.
  • Find out more about our community and its needs.

Be Involved - Again!
