Joblink offers support to local people whether they are unemployed, seeking to return to work after a break as well as those currently employed but seeking a change of career. Between 1st April 2005 and 1st March 2006, we advised and helped 2857 people to make a positive change in their career. Many have enrolled on training courses, helping their chances of finding work and 984 people have found a new job.
Local people who register their skills and experience with Joblink are offered a wide range of Advice & Guidance service including:

Close working relationships have been developed with partner organisations, local companies and Job Centre Plus allowing us to offer a comprehensive service to our users. As well as operating from a number of static sites within the borough, Joblink also carries out ‘Advice Surgeries’ at a wide range of community venues, providing Advice & Guidance sessions to the users of these centres. Joblink will be working at a number of new community venues this year including; Tipton Muslim Centre, The Yemeni Centre West Bromwich, Yew Tree Community Living Centre and Sandwell Adult Education’s new Children’s Centre which is based in Hateley Heath Primary School, where we will be providing advice and support to local residents looking for employment.
